Deuter: Auszeichnung Grüner-Knopf für nachhaltige Produkte - HildRadwelt

Deuter's Head of Quality Management & CSR Marco Hühn and Quality & CR Manager Josefine Berlik.

For its sustainability, biker backpack pioneer Deuter Sport GmbH has been certified according to the German government's "Green Button" standard.

The Green Button is the first government-monitored label for responsible corporate governance and ecologically and fairly produced textiles. It was launched by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
"The Green Button is an excellent reflection of our vision 'Together for 360°-Responsibility' for a socially and ecologically fair orientation of our company and our products," explains Deuter's Head of Quality Management and CSR Marco Hühn, "The goal is to protect people and the environment throughout the entire supply chain - from resource extraction to the finished backpack or sleeping bag."
Products bearing the "Green Button" created in 2019 must be manufactured to the highest environmental and social standards in compliance with government-defined criteria. Thus, on the one hand, the Green Button checks how companies fulfill their duty of care. On the other hand, it also checks how products are manufactured in terms of chemical use, environmental impact and production conditions. A total of 46 demanding social and environmental standards - from A for wastewater limits to Z for a ban on forced labor - must be met.
The Green Button is visible directly on the product - and thus easy for consumers to recognize. More info on the "Button Standard" at www.gruener-knopf.de.
